El pinzamiento femoroacetabular es una anormalidad ¢sea que afecta la esfericidad de la cabeza femoral y se caracteriza por el roce continuo entre la cabeza del f‚mur y el acet bulo. Este continuo roce produce el desgaste del labrum un anillo cartilaginoso que disminuye la fricci¢n y permite efectuar movimientos m s completos, motivo por el cual se considera como una de las causas de coxartrosis en el adulto joven.Existen 2 tipos de pinzamiento el tipo CAM y el tipo PINCER. En el pinzamiento tipo CAM se presenta una protuberancia en la zona de transici¢n del cuello y la cabeza femoral. El tipo pincer se caracteriza por el defecto acetabular producido por el crecimiento ¢seo anormal que genera una cobertura excesiva del acet bulo. Adicionalmente, se puede mencionar un tercer tipo de pinzamiento o pinzamiento mixto que posee las caracter¡sticas del pinzamiento tipo CAM y el pinzamiento tipo PINCER. En base al anterior tema, se evidencia la ausencia de conocimiento por parte de estudiantes y profesionales del  rea de radiolog¡a sobre la proyecci¢n de Dunn una proyecci¢n poco conocida pero muy £til en el diagn¢stico del pinzamiento femoroacetabular, por tal motivo se crean un material educativo que proporcione toda la informaci¢n necesaria sobre la aplicaci¢n de esta proyecci¢n en el pinzamiento femoroacetabular.


Resumen en ingl‚s: The FAI is a bone abnormality affecting the femoral head sphericity and is characterized by the continuous friction between the femoral head and acetabulum.
